Continued focus on specific grammatical and cultural topics using non-manual signals and markers. Emphasis is on greater fluency in idiomatic language usage and mastery of vocabulary and syntax. Skill is enhanced through in-class interactions with native language users. Upper-level course. For students who transfer to programs leading to certification in elementary and secondary education or to careers in health or social service agencies where there is likely to be significant contact with the deaf.
