THEA 2250: Applied Theatre

An in-depth examination of the application of theatre skills, exercises, and dramatic forms in non-theatrical venues such as classrooms, hospitals, churches, prisons, etc. Emphasis on Medical Improv as applied in the Healthcare and counseling fields. Students may explore devising theatrical events with and for non-actors, partnering with community organizations in theatrical projects, and applying theatre across disciplines for improved communication in public-facing workplaces, counseling, teaching, and learning. Upper Level.
