Health Services

The SUNY Corning Community College Health Office is staffed by registered nurses and provides services to students and employees free of charge. Services include nursing care for minor illnesses and injuries, select over-the-counter medications, nutrition and health counseling, and blood pressure screening.

Telemedicine services are available on the Spencer Hill campus for non-emergent medical concerns. After assessment by the College nurse, students may be connected virtually with an Arnot Health medical provider. Telemedicine visits are billed to the student’s health insurance.

Students are also eligible to participate in the SUNY Telepsychiatry Network, which provides remote psychiatric and counseling services. Referrals are required through a College nurse or counselor. The Health Office can assist with referrals and provide a private space for virtual appointments if desired.

The Wellness & Relaxation Room offers a peaceful environment with a massage recliner, house plants, tea and hot chocolate, and calming music. This space also serves as a private lactation room.

The Health Office provides American Heart Association CPR courses, hosts American Red Cross blood drives, and coordinates the College’s annual Health & Wellness Fair.

The Health Office helps students comply with New York State immunization requirements. These requirements apply to students taking in-person coursework who are taking 6 credit hours or more. Immunization records are due the first day of classes. Medical and religious exemptions may be permitted, but students must submit a completed exemption application for review and approval. The Health Office provides guidance, answers questions, and ensures that affected students meet deadlines and submit proper documentation so they can remain in compliance with College policy.

The Health Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (hours may vary during academic breaks). It is located on the lower level of the Commons Building near Public Safety. The office can be reached at (607) 962-9257 or healthoffice@corning-cc.edu.
