Machinist are in demand locally. This Manufacturing Basic micro-credential is the starting point for someone who is interested in manufacturing and machining. This micro-credential gives the students the needed math skills, basic manual machining skills, and exposes students to manufacturing terminology and processes as well as the various disciplines where then can find employment in this region. 

Stackable to Degree Program(s)

The courses required can be applied to the Machine Tool Technology AAS,  Electrical Technology AAS, Mechanical Technology AAS, and Mechatronics AAS programs. These micro-credentials align with the requirements for the Machine Tool Technology AAS degree, should students choose to continue their education after obtaining the micro-credential. This micro-credential is 11 credits.
