There is a need for the availability of shorter, non-degree credentials in the Machining discipline. In response to this need, five stackable micro-credentials have been created.

The purpose of this micro-credential is to build on the skills gained in the Manufacturing Basic micro-credential and give the student a more involved background and skill set in reading and generating detailed CAD drawings used in manufacturing, as well as more advanced manual machining skills.  The next step would be the CNC Operator Micro-credential.

Stackable to Degree Program

The Manual Machinist micro-credential is the second micro-credential for someone who is interested in manufacturing and machining. The courses required can be applied to the Machine Tool Technology AAS program.  This micro-credential is 8 credits.
